The story behind Kalloni

“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.”

The name Kalloni Beauty didn't come out of nowhere. In ancient Greece, beauty was revered by the classical philosophers as one of the pinnacles of human existence. The Greek word kalos, meaning “good” or “beautiful”, was used to describe a person of both deep physical and moral superiority. Beauty was so vital and intrinsic to its culture that the Greeks coined many other related expressions, such as eunoia (beautiful thinking), meraki (the beauty of personal creativity) and philocaly (the love of beauty), firmly cementing this multidimensional aspect of human allure as the foundation upon which to build an admirable society. They summed it all up, however, in one memorable word, one that I introduce to you today: Kalloni — derived from the Greek word kalon, meaning beautiful.
